About the camp
'Wings for Her' is an all-girls empowerment camp run by the registered NPO Wings for Her / Vlerke vir Haar. For a few days, a group of young girls come together to learn, connect, and grow — away from the pressures of everyday life, in a space built entirely around encouraging them. The camp focuses on building confidence, self-worth, and a sense of sisterhood that girls carry home with them long after it ends.
This camp is all about empowering young girls, building confidence, and reminding them that they are capable of amazing things.
What each girl receives
Every one of the 40 girls at camp gets her own care package, personalised and packed by the Bloom team:
- Period pouch

- Individually wrapped wipes

- Pimple patches
- Relax patches
- Hair ties
At Bloom Box SA, I believe that every girl deserves to feel prepared, supported, and empowered when it comes to her period. No girl should have to face this important milestone feeling scared, embarrassed, or alone. My hope is that these gifts remind every girl that she is valued, that her body is something to be proud of, and that she never has to walk this journey alone. If even one girl leaves camp feeling more confident, more informed, or simply knowing that someone believes in her, then Bloom Box SA has fulfilled its purpose.
